As Above, So Below

In Hermeticism, the principle of As Above, So Below asserts that there is always a correspondence between the various planes of being. The law demonstrates the repeating cyclical nature of life and that what happens in one world has a corresponding effect on another. My film follows a man trapped underground in a continuous cycle of ups and downs, letting his skin and clothes get filthier and filthier. Reminiscing of the outside world, he fantasizes of his escape, scratching away at both himself and the walls to do so. He develops an escape plan after a group of teens stumble across his prison.
